A full-term male, born via normal vaginal delivery, was presented to a dermatologist with blue-violet reticulated skin lesions on his right forearm and leg (as shown in the figure). These patches were present since birth and were localized to one side of the body. The marbled pattern of the lesions became more prominent when the baby cried and did not disappear even on warming. On examination, the infant was found to have normal body weight, length, and head circumference.
However, he had relative hypotrophy of the right leg. His neurologic and ophthalmologic examinations showed normal results. ##Disclaimer## The content provided on Docplexus is intended for educational purposes only.
