According to a comprehensive study published in the journal Cancer Research, oral contraceptives can offer prolonged protection against ovarian and endometrial cancer even after discontinuation of their use. The study was conducted on more than 250,000 women who used oral contraceptive pills and those who never used them to check the incidence of breast, ovarian, and endometrial cancers.
