A 23 years old male boy reported scanning center for ultrasonography of abdomen. While handing over the report, the radiologist told the patient that 98% of liver has gone, only bariatric surgery can save his life. Patient and his family got apprehended; Gastroentrologist and many more doctors were consulted who advised to reduce body weight with some oral medications as he has Fatty liver, grade3 with no evidence of fibrosis.

My query :- Was it ethical on the part of Radiologist? Please share.
