Caring for a person with Alzheimer's disease at home is a difficult task. Every day can bring a new set of challenges and hence caring for AD patients can be overwhelming at times. Research has shown that caregivers themselves are at increased risk of depression and illness especially when they do not get adequate support from family, friends, and the community.
Do you provide counseling sessions to the caregivers of AD geriatric patients, so that they look after the well-being of themselves and the patient? Please share your tips, if any.
