Common variable immunodeficiency (CVID) , also known as ‘ common variable hypogammaglobulinemia ’ is a state of immunodeficiency in which there is low production of antibodies. It is estimated that 1 in 25,000 to 1 in 50,000 are affected by CVID worldwide. Although the method of diagnosis of this disease is well established in adults, there has been no investigation of the features of early onset of CVID in the younger population.
