According to a study published in Clinical Dermatology, applying a skincare oil designed for newborn skin significantly improved skin conditions in healthy full-term newborns. A recent open-label trial of healthy newborns aged less than four days aimed to examine how two skincare regimens affect the development of normal skin barrier function and microflora. Furthermore, the study suggests that the two skincare regimens [(group 1: Skincare oil + cleansing oil), (group 2: Cleansing oil)] did not differ significantly in their effects on the physiological course of skin barrier maturation, skin pH changes, or the development of the microflora. The study involved 60 newborns (30 in each group).
