Cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) is an advanced imaging technique that has become an inevitable part of dentistry since the early 2000s. CBCT can rotate around the patient and capture images of the teeth, oral and maxillofacial regions, ears, nose, and throat using a cone-shaped X-ray beam. The data provided by CBCT can be used to construct 3D images, which are helpful in diagnosis, treatment planning, and follow-up examinations.
