It is a usual practice in medicine especially in neurology, when a patient’s complaint is related to neurology, if it is an investigation oriented case means, CT scan is the usual modality to be done first. If there is negative result or no lesions noted, then the patient is assured about the no finding and treated accordingly. If there is positive finding depending upon the finding, there may be MRI scan suggested is the usual practice. Even here usually no MR angiogram or venogram is asked as a routine.This makes the investigation costlier.
