Delayed diagnosis of a medical condition can often lead to medicolegal implications. It is, therefore, important to consider and definitively rule out the possibility of any complication of a clinical presentation. The present article focuses on a case of delayed diagnosis of a spinal complication in a geriatric patient. The delay in diagnosis led to significant deterioration of the patient’s condition. A 67-year-old person presented with difficulty walking because of leg discomfort.
The patient underwent several investigations in three hospitals, one after the other. Because of the inability to reach a definitive diagnosis, the patient was shifted to three hospitals consecutively.
