The main concern while diagnosis glaucoma is that physicians only get a gist of patients’ pressure and often do not capture it at its peak. Many studies have been published earlier on tests to assess peak IOP that occurs outside of office visits. With regard with the previous studies, the article describes ‘Water Drinking Test’ to determine likely glaucoma field progression. A recent study published in the Journal of Glaucoma, assessed the predictive value of the water drinking stress test for estimating the risk for progression of visual field loss.
Study design: The prospective, longitudinal study included 144 eyes with primary open angle glaucoma.
