Case presentation A 35-year-old man presented with macroscopic hematuria. He was hit by an opposition player’s knee in the right flank while playing rugby. This was followed by severe pain in the flank and heavy macroscopic hematuria. Examination Pulse: 100 beats/min Blood pressure: 175/105 mmHg O 2 saturation: 100% on air Creatinine: 120 μmol/L (eGFR 66 mL/min/1.73m 3 ) He had tenderness in the right flank without rebound or guarding.
