The increasing incidence of threats and attacks on doctors and other healthcare professionals (HCPs) has spurred the need for attention to HCPs' safety. With so many protests, marches, rules, and regulations to check violence against doctors, the National Medical council has proposed new regulations for treating abusive and/or violent patients. According to these regulations, any abusive and/or violent behavior by a patient can be documented and reported by the doctor, who can then choose not to proceed with treatment and make the necessary referrals. Doctors must be aware of the laws for their safety and follow the standard protocols in medical ethics. Join this medicolegal discussion with expert panelists   Dr.
