Probiotic milk intake in late pregnancy significantly lowers preeclampsia risk while its intake during early pregnancy significantly lowers the risk of preterm delivery. A recent observational study investigated the association between timing of probiotic milk consumption during pregnancy and the incidence of adverse pregnancy outcomes preeclampsia and preterm delivery. The study further reported that Probiotic milk intake in late pregnancy (but not before or in early pregnancy) significantly reduces preeclampsia risk while its intake during early (but not before or during late pregnancy) reduces preterm delivery risk.
