Case presentation A 67-year-old male presents with a smooth-surfaced, dome-shaped, and pink to grayish-blue swelling located off the midline on the left side of the floor of the mouth. The swelling has been present for an unknown period. Medical history Tonsillectomy and adenoidectomy at age nine and appendectomy at age 19 Several afflictions during adulthood, including stomach ulcers and other gastrointestinal problems, breathing difficulties, stiff hip and right leg pain. He smokes one pack of cigarette and drinks two bottles of wine every week. He also reports hypersensitivity to penicillin.

Clinical and radiographic findings This swelling is about 2 cm in diameter and is described to be fluctuant. It is not painful. The CT scans showed no evidence of a sialolith in the sublingual or submandibular salivary gland ducts. What can be the probable diagnosis for this patient? (Answer…
