Hypertension is a global health challenge due to its increasing prevalence and resulting contribution to the burden of heart disease, stroke and kidney failure and premature death and disability. As per current studies, the incidence of hypertension to 20 to 40% in urban areas and 12 to 17% in rural areas of India.
