Dr. Michael Alvarsson is a professor at Karolinska University, working at the Clinic of Endocrinology, Metabolism and Diabetes. He also conducts clinical diabetes research at the Department of Molecular medicine and Surgery (MMK) at Karolinska Institute. He is widely known for his clinical studies on B-cell rest and the hypothalamo-pituitary- adrenal axis on metabolic control in diabetics and clinical studies on the effects of training on patients with type 2-diabetes.
