Dr. Shrikant Eknath Shinde, M.P, Kalyan Lok Sabha has tabled “Prevention of Violence Against Doctors, Medical Professionals and Medical Institutions Bill, 2018” a private bill in Lok Sabha, demanding strict action against those who create violence in hospitals against doctors. Bill No. 190 of 2018: A Bill to provide for the prevention of violence against doctors, medical professionals and medical institutions and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto.
This Act may be called the Prevention of Violence Against Doctors, Medical Professionals and Medical Institutions Act, 2018. It shall come into force on such date, as the Central Government may, by notification 5 in the Official Gazette, appoint. Provisions of the Bill: Prohibition of violence- Any act of violence against a doctor, medical professional or medical institution shall be prohibited and mitigated at all levels.…
