The USFDA has recently approved Dupilumab for the treatment of eosinophilic esophagitis in individuals aged 12 and above and with a minimum weight of 40 kg.   ## Eosinophilic Esophagitis: ## A chronic immune disorder Characterized by infiltration of eosinophils and other inflammatory factors in the esophageal tissues Symptoms include dysphagia, difficulty in eating, regurgitation, and food getting stuck in the esophagus ## ## Dupilumab: ## Monoclonal antibody Inhibits IL-4 and IL-13 signaling pathway Administered subcutaneously — single 300 mg dose, once every week ##   Trial: Two-part phase III trial   Results:   Side effects : Adverse reactions at the site of injection Joint pain Herpes viral infection Upper respiratory tract infection Allergic reaction Keratitis Conjunctivitis   Contraindications: Dupilumab is not recommended for individuals with a known history of allergic…
