Patients come to Cardiologists for complete assessment of their Heart. Echo probe replaced stethoscope, in this era of Evidence based Medicine. But how many Cardiologists do echo in their OPD or at least be with the patient when echo is being done ? Patients pay good consultation fee to Cardiologists, but Cardiologists examine with stethoscope-- Technicians do ECG , Technicians do Echo , Technicians do Tread mill test , Technicians do Cardiac CT etc. Is this ethical ? We send patients for cardiac fitness for Anesthesia.
Often I come across findings that don't match with clinical findings, and we send them again. Then they correct the findings. Share your views.
