A prestigious journal – the European Journal of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery (EJVES) – has published an extremely rare case operated for the first time by any surgeon in the world. This case was operated upon in the state of Punjab in Ludhiana. Dr Harinder Singh Bedi – Chairman of Cardio Vascular Sciences – stated that it was a matter of great pride for India that a paper from here has got published in the latest issue of the EJVES (Thrombosis in massive varix – Harinder Singh Bedi - EJVES Oct 2018 ). This is one of the most well respected medical journals of the world.
