The USFDA has approved rezafungin, an echinocandin antifungal, for treating candidemia and invasive candidiasis (IC) in adults with no or limited treatment options. The approval of rezafungin is based on safety and efficacy data from two clinical trials. Table 1. Adults with with candidemia and/or IC  were randomized to receive rezafungin or caspofungin.
