The Health Ministry has confirmed that it is the first positive case of the nCoV detected in a student of Wuhan University and is currently under observation. The infected patient is a student from Wuhan University who had recently returned to India and is now kept in an isolation unit at the hospital under observation.
The coronavirus is known to have originated in late 2019 in the Wuhan city of China.
