A government doctor was caught by the health department working for a private medical hospital during a surprise inspection. The private hospital was found to be running without any registration and was sealed. The owner of the hospital claimed that they payed ₹30,000 per month to the government doctor for the past two years for practicing in their private facility. The Health department claimed that an FIR would be registered, against the private hospital and the government doctor.
During the inspection the doctor was not present. When questioned telephonically the doctor confessed of doing so. The owner also reported that there was only one ward boy and four patients present at the hospital of which two were discharged and the rest were shifted to the government setup.
