Guillain-Barré Syndrome (GBS) continues to be reported in Hyderabad, several months after the initial outbreak that emerged in Pune and later extended to multiple states, including Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Tamil Nadu, and West Bengal. The outbreak has been linked to 23 deaths nationwide, with Pune and surrounding regions accounting for nearly half of these cases. In Hyderabad, three major hospitals are still receiving six to seven new patients with GBS each week, many of whom require admission and ventilatory support.
