Every one of us remembers the Bhopal gas tragedy that occurred on the night of 2-3 December 1984, in which thousands of people lost their lives due to the poisonous Methyl Isocyanate gas (MIC) leakage. To commemorate the memories of this tragedy's victims, the National Pollution Prevention Day is observed on 2nd December in India. The day aims to spread awareness about managing and controlling industrial disasters and prevent environmental pollution caused due to human negligence.
