In a CME on palliative care, it was highlighted that diagnosis of cancer be disclosed in first interaction irrespective of the fact that patient is illiterate. He has come alone traveling a long distance.Recently a doctor has planned to donate blood but he was found to have chronic myeloid leukemia, which was conveyed to him in first interactions. The doctor died with in 15 days of knowing about his disease.

I don't agree with the way of disclosing diagnosis, what is your opinion and what should be right approach?
