The Indian Council of Medical Research is set to launch a dedicated nano-medicine task force to translate nano-enabled technologies into clinical practice. The task force aims at fostering collaborations among scientists, engineers, and physicians to develop successful nanotechnology applications in various branches of medicine. Nano-science is one of the most promising and innovative enabling technologies of the twentieth century which is expected to revolutionize healthcare system by giving a boost to precision medicine. The Central government lately has announced several initiatives which aim at promoting capacity-building in this research area through its Nano Mission.
