India has reported 2,370 new cases of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours. As per the latest reports, the country’s tally stands at 96,169 cases, which includes 56,316 active cases. Gujarat has become India’s third state to report more than 10,000 COVID-19 cases after Maharashtra (≥ 33,053 cases at present) and Tamil Nadu ( ≥11,224 at present). More than 391 new cases of COVID-19 were reported within 24 hours in Gujarat.
Maharashtra state tops the death toll in India (currently 3,029 deaths). Other states reporting an increase in COVID-19 cases include Rajasthan (242 new cases), Tamil Nadu (639 new cases), Madhya Pradesh (187 new cases), and Uttar Pradesh (213 new cases). J&K has also reported more 62 positive cases, with the total now reaching 1,183.
