A 38-year-old male presented to my clinic with essential hypertension. His vitals- ≥152/100 mmHg and 82 beats per minute. Prescribed him Lisinopril - 10 mg orally once a day. At the follow-up, I noticed tachycardia which did not settle after 8 days of medication. His vitals after 8 days were- 149/100 mmHg and 100 beats per minute.

P.S. He was not taking any other medication. Please suggest the next steps for stabilizing tachycardia. Have you observed this effect for Lisinopril?
