A fake, document has become viral on social media regarding approval of bridge course of BDS to MBBS by MCI. In clarification of this issue, the MCI has issued a notice stating that ‘no such letter is issued by the council’. This was actually a prank intended on the April Fools Day. This notification had the subject as ‘Approval of bridge course request by DCI 2011’. This fake letter added many more details.

The origin of this letter is not known, but very soon it became viral on social media and WhatsApp. In view of this fake document the MCI has issued a disclaimer on the official website that it is a fraudulent document which has become viral on the social media and that the council has not issued any such notice.
