Wilms tumor is the commonest renal tumor of childhood that affects one in 10,000 children. Successful management of Wilms’ tumor necessitates meticulous attention to the correct staging of the tumor and a collaborative effort between pediatric oncologists, specialist surgeons, radiologists, pathologists, and radiation oncologists. Wilms tumor is an embryonal type of renal cancer and a common solid malignant neoplasm in children that account for approximately 90% of all pediatric tumors of the kidney. Wilms tumor can also be diagnosed in adolescents or adults, but this is extremely rare, representing less than 1% of all renal tumors.
