A new diagnostic test for autism has been developed by researchers from Warwick University in the United Kingdom. This test can predict autism with almost 92% accuracy in young children. Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is a condition which affects the cognition, behavior, and social interaction in children. 1 in every 68 children is estimated to have ASD. It may have early onset but the symptoms are subtle.

Thus, early diagnosis is usually difficult. A chemistry-based test for early detection of ASD would help children receive care much earlier and make life easier.
