Traumatic Brain Injury ( TBI) is one of the most common cause of morbidity and mortality in young adults and can develop during early as well as late phase in life. TBI biomarkers measured in acute period would be useful for patients at risk of long-term disabilities and for physicians guiding pharmacological interventions. Such biomarkers are well studied and some of them are already applied to clinical practices. Here, we review some of the most studied TBI biomarkers.
