The treatment of glaucoma has significantly evolved in the past few years. Although the developments have addressed common challenges such as early diagnosis, invasive techniques, and poor prognosis, treatment adherence remains a persisting challenge. Traditional eye drops are difficult to self-administer and are time-consuming; therefore, patients often fail to adhere to the prescribed schedule and may discontinue the treatment.
