Respected Doctors, Male patient, 70 years old, chronic smoker, underwent chemo-radiation therapy 2 years ago. This is a typical case of pathological fracture mandible (bilateral angle/body region) as an after effect of Radiotherapy. Patient underwent Chemo-Radiation therapy for carcinoma on lateral border of tongue (right side). It was 24 months ago when he received the last dose of radiation. No active tumor in mouth at present.

Spontaneous pain and problems in mastication developed a few months back which was confirmed radiographically as pathological Fracture mandible. Open reduction and fixation( titanium miniplates) were planed after considering and discussing the pros and cons. Necrotic bone was removed and fixation done.
