CKD can have a variety of clinical presentations depending on the stage of the disease, etiological factors, and the patient’s age. In addition to routine laboratory studies, detailed patient history and physical examination are essential in diagnosing the disease. Investigations should include calculation of the estimated glomerular filtration rate, measurement of albumin levels, and analysis of radiologic tests, including CT, MRI, and radionuclide scans.
