Case presentation A 17-month-old female presented to the clinic for acute bilateral wrist and ankle swelling, intermittent fever, and rash. History of presenting illness Three episodes of fever in the previous two months, each lasting 2-4 days. No symptoms of congestion, nausea, vomiting, or cough. Medical history Congenital deformity of right hand and wrist Gross motor delay and hypotonia No pets or recent travel history Clinical examination The patient was examined at the time of admission and shortly afterward when the fever subsided without intervention.
