Case presentation A 14-year-old female patient presented to the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery with a seven-month history of swelling and pus discharge on the left side of the mandible (Cover image A). Despite undergoing incision and drainage two months earlier, her symptoms persisted, accompanied by a reduced mouth opening of only one finger width.
