A suspected medical negligence case has been reported at a government medical college in Coimbatore following the death of a 32-year-old woman who developed severe complications after undergoing a Caesarean section for intrauterine fetal death. The incident triggered protests by her family and neighbors and led to a police case and an official inquiry. The patient was a resident of Puliyakulam and the Amman Kulam Housing Unit area in Coimbatore and was the mother of two children. She became pregnant again after a gap of about nine years and was undergoing regular antenatal checkups at the government medical college.
