A growing challenge in medicine is heart failure representing high morbidity and mortality. A major risk factor for heart failure with reduced ejection fraction is a history of myocardial infarction. The expansion of a large infarct and subsequent regional ventricular dilatation can cause post-infarct remodelling, leading to significant enlargement of the left ventricular chamber.

This article highlights about the aspects related to post-infarct left ventricular remodelling.
