The COVID-19 pandemic is showing its impact on human beings in multiple ways. This novel coronavirus not only infects the lungs but other organs, including the brain, heart, blood vessels, gut, and kidneys, are also affected by COVID-19. Furthermore, recent studies have reported that the disease can also cause psychological distress in patients after COVID-19 recovery.

A post-operative analysis of 402 patients conducted at the San Raffaele Hospital, Milan, has revealed that about 55% of COVID-19 patients suffered from one or more psychological or behavioral issues post one or two months of treatment.
