Quality in healthcare should be the right of every patient but the Centre for Policy Research (CPR) report is suggesting an indifferent scenario in the rural healthcare system. According to the report, out of the 36 states, 15 states have lacked basic yet essential facilities like infrastructure, a minimum requirement of manpower, and required medical equipment and drugs.

Indian Public Health Standards (IPHS) is a standard set by MoHFW for improving the quality of infrastructure and its norms are set to improve the quality and functioning of government hospitals.
