Neurological complications may complicate regional anesthesia. The incidence has been reported as 0–36 per 10 000 blocks after epidural anesthesia and 35 per 10 000 blocks after spinal anesthesia. Occasionally, urgent investigation and treatment is required in consultation with a neurologist. This article serves as a quick reference checklist on neurological complications of labor.
