Hypertension is one of the major risk factors in the DM patients. When both the disorders are present in the patient, then there is a very high risk of CVS, cerebrovascular and renal events. The role of various antihypertensive agents in such a patients was evaluated by the meta-analysis of various studies. A recent publication in the BMJ revealed through the analysis of various studies that RAS blockers are not better than the other antihypertensive agents to avoid the hard outcomes of the diseases.
