Multi-Cancer Early Detection (MCED), a novel blood test, has successfully screened multiple cancers in 6,662 asymptomatic individuals > 50 years of age as part of a Pathfinder study. The findings were presented at the European Society for Medical Oncology Congress 2022 in Paris. Cancer was detected in about 1% of participants. 71 % of confirmed cases had cancer types for which routine screening is unavailable. The cancer signal was detected in 92 participants, and 35 of them were diagnosed with 36 cancers.
