A 40-year-old male having a seasonal maculopapular rash in the underarm with severe itching (Images attached). The person has a history of dust allergy and frequent attack of allergic rhinitis. His eosinophil count is usually higher than normal every time he got tested for it (8-10% on average). For the past 3 years he is having this rash in his underarm (presented as bilateral but severity is always higher in right underarm). This condition sets in with the onset of summer and continues until winter is there.
He keeps changing his soap and deodorant time to time with no effect on the condition. A topical application of combination of betamethasone valerate, gentamicin sulfate, tolnaftate and clioquinol relieves the symptoms to some extent, if not fully, but recurrence is obvious.
