Case presentation A previously healthy 13-year-old boy with no history of chronic illness or seizures was brought to the emergency department following his first episode of a generalized tonic–clonic seizure. The event occurred at home during the early morning hours and lasted about two minutes.
During the episode, he became unresponsive with generalized limb rigidity, jaw clenching, and fixed gaze deviation, followed by post-ictal drowsiness.
