The complex interplay between obesity and rheumatic diseases has gained renewed attention with the emergence of GLP-1 receptor agonists (GLP-1A). Beyond their metabolic benefits, these agents show potential in modulating inflammation and improving disease activity in conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis and psoriatic arthritis. As obesity continues to influence disease severity, treatment response, and long-term outcomes, understanding how GLP-1A therapies can reshape this relationship opens new avenues for both metabolic and rheumatologic care.
