Simple preventive health interventions could substantially reduce healthcare spending while improving economic productivity over the next 15 years, according to a new report from the World Economic Forum. The report estimates that three scalable measures including fall prevention in older adults, increased physical activity, and broader access to hearing aids could reduce global healthcare costs by more than USD 5.8 trillion and generate an additional USD 645 billion in productivity by 2040.
