The General Insurance Council of India has recently launched the "Cashless Everywhere" scheme, allowing policyholders nationwide access to treatment in any hospital. However, the scheme encountered challenges due to the lack of standardized fees in Indian hospitals. Consequently, a non-government organization filed a public interest litigation in the Supreme Court (SC) addressing this issue.
